About

I am an environmental data scientist with research interests in natural resource management, energy development, climate resiliency, and environmental justice. My work frequently bridges ecology and economics and is collaborative and inclusive. I leverage bioeconomic modelling, spatial data analysis, and data synthesis and am dedicated to transparent and reproducible science. I am a Senior Project Scientist at the University of California Santa Barbara's Environmental Markets Lab (emLab). In 2013 I received a Master of Environmental Science and Management from the Bren School, where I specialized in economics and politics of the environment. My goal is to develop sound, data-driven insights that identify environmental and social challenges as well as practical solutions that have the potential to improve livelihoods.

When I'm not working, I enjoy traveling, beach combing (occasionally with a metal detector), trying to play field hockey, and eating New Jersey delicacies (e.g., sandwiches and bagels).
